(Summary description)Eucalyptus oil is one of the most commonly used essential oils. As candies and chewing gum become more and more popular, eucalyptus oil has a major use as a food additive. Synthetic fragrances have a new impact and clean appeal, which has a great impact on the cosmetics industry (such as toothpaste and oral cleaning products) and other household cleaning industry operations, as well as the fragrance of perfume. Eucalyptus oil is also used in the pharmaceutical industry as an antibacterial agent, especially for the treatment of respiratory infections and other similar diseases.
Eucalyptus oil

This is a very effective and commonly used ingredient in sinus sprays. It is also commonly used in syrups and ointments to relieve breathing difficulties. In the same way, eucalyptus oil is also commonly transported to the field of fragrance massage to refresh the human body. It can also be used to reduce inflammation and relieve rheumatism. Eucalyptus oil can be used for massage, spa, and sports massage (it can relieve muscle fatigue). Eucalyptus oil can also be used in pesticides.

China is the dominant consumer of blue gum in the world. The traditional consumer areas are in western Yunnan: Dali and Chuxiong Baoshan. There are also two important consumer areas near Kunming in the south of Yunnan: Honghe and Wenshan County. (Ni Bo, 2005)
According to Chinese customs data in 2015, of the approximately 17,000 tons of blue eucalyptus crude oil consumed in China, exports reached 10,000 tons. The content of eucalyptus oil crude oil is between 45% and 52%.
In all consumption areas, about 4.6 million hectares of eucalyptus plantations are mainly used to consume essential oils.

Yunnan's eucalyptus plantation park is mainly located in the west and south. In theory, although China is the largest consumer of commodities, in southern Yunnan, the extraction of eucalyptus oil through the distillation of leaves is not the sole purpose of planting eucalyptus. In China, these trees are commonly used to construct wooden roofs that support mines. Eucalyptus will mature after five years of growth. In order to make eucalyptus grow better, farmers regularly pruned branches. Regardless of whether eucalyptus oil is extracted from leaves, pruning is an indispensable step. In the initial growth period, pruning is done twice a year, and after 3 years, it can be pruned only once a year.
Different production areas have different harvesting and distillation times:
Dali: May June to December
Chu Xiong: October to March of the following year
Kunming and southern Yunnan: discontinuous throughout the year
